Hello hello everyone! Today was another full day working around on the island. Our team split up once again for the morning…

Ministry here on the island looks different than our previous ministry in East Hastings. Instead of sharing the love of Christ through prayer with people and running services, we’re now spreading that same love through our actions of practically serving others.

Leaving our first part of this mission trip was hard, so much God has done, is doing, and continuing to do in and threw Potters Place. But it was a blessing to be able to support our brothers and sisters in our home country.

We started today by doing our own church service at the YWAM house. We had time to worship together and some of us were able to share our testimonies.

First full day in Vancouver! The group was eager to get to Potters Place to worship God and serve the community. As a group, we were very humbled by what we saw the night before.

Hello from Vancouver! We started off bright and early… jk it was still very dark. We ripped down the 410 to jump on a jet, take off at 7am for a five hour flight only to land at 9am in Vancouver, where we bumped into Ken and Barb Derksen which was awesome!

Our last stop was a community kitchen that the team last year helped clean and get running.

We started our morning a little later than usual because of our late night yesterday (and Kathryn forgot to wake the girls up 😉).

When we arrived, they gave us instructions for the day. We split in teams and sorted the food by different categories with many people taking on different roles.

Today in the morning we headed to the House of Hope which is a women’s shelter that has about 8-10 ladies living in the home.

Hello everyone! Today we woke up in the morning and we couldn’t shower because the water was broken, but thankfully a man from the church fixed it!

We learned about a woman’s story about her journey with cancer and how she had to rely on God’s strength…

Hey from the 2025 Windsor missions team! After we packed the vans, we spent some time in prayer before our journey.

If I could, I would give an endless list of moments but one of those would be when we went to church. From before you could even see the church, you could hear the pastor worshiping and praying. When I say that it was so loud, I really mean it.

We want to start off by thanking all of you for reading our blogs and the continuous support and prayers that you have been sending our way. We can really feel that God is working throughout this team and the work we are doing here in the Dominican Republic.

Today we stared off like normal. This included our morning devos on the roof with our reflection time. We also had a debate of who would win in a fight: a chicken or a tarantula.

First and foremost, an update on Pedro (the tarantula), he survived being in the pool for over 30 minutes. We went back to check on him and he was still kickin, so we scooped him out of the pool and put him back safely. We’ll let you decide if that is good news or bad news!

After devotions, one of our leaders was spooked by the biggest tarantula any of us have ever seen in our lives just a few feet where we ended off our devotional.

Today we started by waking up, going back to sleep, then waking up again. After 10 minutes of fighting the urge to go back to sleep one more time, I finally decided to get up only to find my back was bonded to the sheets (like a mouse in one of those sticky traps).
