Windsor 2026 Day 3
By: Jack, Keandra, Matt, And Savanah
Yo yo yoooo! It’s Jack, Keandra, Matt and Savanah! Today was a very eventful day! We began the morning with some more cold showers, and a devotional on being compassionate toward others. Then we went to Bruce Park and we picked up wood to build garden boxes with Nate Hope from DWCC. The weather during our construction varied from a sunny afternoon to a snowy cyclone. We were at the park for about 5 hours and we built about 29 garden boxes. In between we took a break for lunch at Good Hood Community Kitchen. Not only did we eat but we also each had a solo party in their disco bathroom. A group of girls, and Tymon who could be considered as one… headed on a shopping trip to shop for supplies for our work over the next few days. As we were heading back to Parkwood Gospel Church, we were told that there was a treat for us! It turned out that they were planning to surprise us with a candy bar for the week, which was such a blessing! After that we went to Feeding Windsor and ate some delicious chicken, veg, and perogies and had some fun conversations. Once we were finished and back at the church all the girls minus Keandra and Naomi went to an old Compass friend’s house that they so graciously allowed us to use for warm showers. While they were there, Keandra and the guys started to plan her prom-posal for Taryn. There was hair wraps, paper towel bellies, ripped sleeves, cowboy boots and shorts, and much more chaos.. With Keandra dressed up as a fisherwoman, and everyone had an assigned job which included: holding the sign, holding the stuffy and candies, model legs, lights, and music. Taryn walked in, began singing, kept walking thinking it was for someone else, and started laughing, eventually saying yes to go to prom with her. After that we started to make posters for the hockey game that we’re going to tomorrow and can’t wait to be there!
