Windsor 2026 Day Two
By: Reid, Naomi, and Tymon
Today some of us (the boys) woke up at 5:30am and took freezing cold showers, but after that we were all wide awake. We had to wake up early because we had to empty out and reset our rooms for a church service. We had our devo’s at Tim Horton’s, and our devo’s this morning were about learning to serve, and we talked about when Jesus washed His disciples feet.
After we finished our devo’s we went to Ambassador Community Church, but not before playing for an hour at a freezing cold park. Pastor Darrell preached the parable of the king’s wedding, Matthew 22:1-14. One little verse, the very last, was “many are invited, but few are chosen”, which is what Pastor Darrell spent most of the time explaining.
After an amazing potluck we had with Ambassador Community Church, we split up into 4 separate groups and went around the neighbourhood putting fliers in mailboxes for a food drive, and we will be picking up the donations on Thursday.
Later, a couple of us went to No-frills and picked up supplies to make tacos which we ate for dinner. Yum yum! After filling ourselves with tacos, we got in the vans and went to a park with a big hill for rolling down. At the top of the hill we could see Detroit!
Once we got home, we were all tired. We did our debrief and talked about the day. Afterwards the three of us grabbed the laptop and wrote this. Boo Yeah!
Now after 33,000 steps today, we are done and we will go shower in freezing water and play basketball. Have a good night!
