Day 6: Thursday

Full Throttle Thursday

By: Mitch, Aiden, and Kyle

Today we, collected all the food from the food drive. There was a lot!! Our total food from the food drive filled the back of both vans! There wasn’t a lot of houses that gave food, but the ones that did, gave a lot of it… which was great. After that, for lunch we had chicken stir fry or burgers.

We then went back to Ambassador Community Church to help run a kids program and play some fun games with the kids. We also played nine square and sang camp songs and made paper airplanes. We had a blast getting to play with the kids and get to know the community around Ambassador a bit better. We look forward to returning next year!

We then went to Feeding Windsor to help them out with their community dinner. We helped them by plating all the food and serving the people. We also got to talk to some of the people who attended the community dinner and listened to lots of fun stories and interesting facts about them. We made a wonderful meal of pasta in meat sauce with salad and a bun on the side.

At the end of the day, we went back to Campbell Baptist Church and had a chill night watching Puss in Boots, The Last Wish with everybody in the fellowship hall. It was a blast. I really liked the talking orange cat. He was funny and Spanish. To finish the day off we played a game of Pharisees and got ready to go to bed for a sleep-in tomorrow morning before we have our talk with...OH, I can’t tell you that yet… spoiler alert.

It is - 6 and clear outside, this is Mitchy G, Ky-Town, and Aid-An-Destroy with weather and trees coming at you again with the bees’ knees, and ain't that the truth.

A little bit of Rust-eze, and an insane amount of luck, you too can look like me, kaaaaaaachow.
