Dominican Republic 2026 Day Seven
Hola Señoras y Señores, its Ashton and Beeeeeeeeeeeeen its Ben (*been) great today! We woke up at 6:30am and immediately went back to sleep just to wake up again at 7am for our devos where we learned how God influences communities. We were sharing how God has influenced our missions trip so far and our lives. As we finished our devo we headed downstairs to enjoy scrambled omelets and shriveled mystery meat sausages, and toast.
Then at around 8:00am we headed to the worksite where we were divided into two groups. One group was laying bricks and the other group was making a creek. As me (Ashton), Liam and the third person (aka Brooklynn) went to our section to red neck it up we started having concrete problems. At first, the concrete was too dry and we couldn’t lay anything, then it was to wet and sank like a brick. As we solved this, Liam began smoking the brick violently with his hammer and it cracked so I put a new one in and swapped with ben to go build the creek.
As Ashton swapped with me (Ben), myself, Luka, and Gabe were called by Felix to go into town, where then we got to ride in the bed of a truck and it was lowkey peak. We were just chilling in the back and the wind from the speed was really nice. Then we picked up some concrete and delivered it back to the worksite before heading back for lunch.
As we returned, we played pharisees in the bus and I (Ashton) immediately knew it was Taryn based on nothing (it was not her). We got back and slopped some joes right down before swimming in the (now green) pool. We went back and the A team immediately locked in and finished the creek and threw rocks down a hill and near a cow (don’t worry we didn’t hit it). After that I went on a water break and played catch with some Dominican kids and gave them baseballs to play with (they baseball mogged us even though they where like 9).
Then after the A team finished absolutely dominating the creek, we headed back to the compound for some ribs and mashed potatoes (they were really good). After, Ben the boss and I took a shower before our evening devos and split into groups of 3 where we all prayed for each other. Now as me and Ben sit here writing this paper of incredible spelling accuracy and importance we learn that I can’t spell and Ben is good at typing and I’ve had 9 coca colas (Tymon fixed a LOT of spelling errors so it didn’t look so bad).
Adios! Ashton and Big Ben the Boss of Bosses and Tuff Triple TTT
End/Fin/spainsh for end.
