Day 4: Tuesday

By: Trista, Sophie, and Anna

Well… that was a day (a GOOOOOD one though). We started off our day with a good devotion and prayer then headed (some walked and some drove) to The House of Hope which is a house for woman. We DEEP cleaned the entire house and Rod went to the store to pick up things that they needed. The woman were very very grateful and we were so thrilled that they were happy! We really saw God working through those women.

After, we went for lunch and it was very tasty. We ended up behind schedule but even though we were behind, everyone was able to keep a positive attitude. We headed to Mathew House and the kids were so excited! They came running to the parking lot handed us letters and grabbed our hands to bring us in. It was so cool to see how they showed no fear today, but yesterday they wouldn’t even say a word to us LOL. They created master pieces inside (bracelets, paper planes, and drawings) and outside they played 9 square. It was really great to see how much fun they had and how polite they were. They were sad to see us go and we were too.

We got back to the church and surprised Erika because it was her birthday! WOOWOO! Many of us were so exhausted that we had to recharge with a nap. “The nap was the best and very much needed” – Trista. We then headed to dinner and man oh man it was so full of laughter. Anna dressed up as Rod and acted like a grandma with Julia. Trista was very confused when she looked over. Oh and Sophie fell out of her chair because of laughter. God blessed us with a great team to work with. We jammed out to Lauren Daigle on our way back from dinner so much to the point the van was jamming with us. The other van saw the van shaking (it was nuts). We had cake and sang to Erika and went over our day.

Then, we spent time with our team listening to Jesus’ Music and had some team bonding time.

Be excited for tomorrows blog because a lot is happening!!!! We are headed to bed early tonight, so goodnight and remember to say your prayers!
