DivorceCare and DC4Kids

Wednesday evenings beginning February 10 from 7:00-8:30 pm (13 Weeks)

Cost: $25 (includes workbook)

DivorceCare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Don’t go through separation or divorce alone.

DivorceCare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable DivorceCare resources to help you deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life.

Most people will tell you that separation and divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences they’ve ever faced. It’s a confusing time when you feel isolated and have lots of questions about issues you’ve never faced before.

Our DivorceCare group meets weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each DivorceCare session has two distinct elements:

  • A Seminar with Experts
During the first 30-40 minutes of the meeting, each DivorceCare group watches a video seminar featuring top experts on divorce and recovery subjects. These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies and on-location video.
  • A Support Group with Focus
After viewing the video, DivorceCare group participants spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in the lives of group members.

“Words cannot express the brokenness and pain I felt. The Divorce Care program healed my pain and gave me hope, peace and freedom from the emotional baggage I was carrying.” – Larry

“I am so grateful for you, and for Compass Community Church.  What an amazing experience.  I found it so helpful.  I wouldn’t be where I am today without you or the Divorce Care Program.” – Joanne

Wednesday evenings beginning February 10 from 6:45-8:30 pm

Cost: $20 (includes workbook and materials)

Children experiencing divorce tell us they feel alone and helpless. Your children may feel scared, sad and confused. They may hide their feelings from you because they are worried about your happiness or because they do not know how to express their feelings appropriately.

What is DC4K?

DC4K is a powerful ministry for kids in SK-Grade 8 who have a parent attending DivorceCare. It is a special group to help your children heal from the pain caused by a separation or divorce. DC4K provides your children with a safe and neutral place to recognize and learn to share their feelings. Each session is filled with motivating and exciting activities. Games, crafts, role playing, discussion times, journaling and activity books help your children process the divorce and move forward in their lives. The weekly session topics help your children learn that God’s love strengthens them and helps them turn their sadness to hope and their anger to joy.
